ABOUT THE NEWSLETTER

I started this project out of a passion for understanding the intricacies of financial markets and economics more broadly. The goal of the newsletter is not to revolutionize the field but rather to help the everyday person understand the challenges that economists, policymakers, and market participants alike face. I find it troubling that the knowledge gap between the average person and experts in their field has grown to the size it has. Such a gap creates unnecessary frictions in communication, often resulting in an oversimplification of problems that are very sensitive and intricate. I think that the onus falls on experts to be able to deliver these complexities in a simple, digestible manner. Although the topics I cover in these pages are advanced, I hope that they pique the interest of readers and encourage people to stay informed about what happens around the globe.
